We're just back from an overnight stay in Manchester with the Coronation Street Blog team, where we visited the Corrie Tour for a final time.

Our tour guide was
Jonny Grimshaw, who also works as an extra on Coronation Street. It was quite an emotional evening as we walked the cobbles, knowing it would be for the last time. The set visit closes at the end of this month so if you'd like to go and haven't yet got your tickets, you might want to do that right now!
After our visit to the cobbles, our Blog Team all went to the pub for some gossiping and a half pint of stout. We sat in the snug at The Old Grapes, a pub once owned by Liz Dawn, who played Vera Duckworth.

Then we went to
Annie's restaurant for dinner. Annie's is owned by Jennie McAlpine, who plays Fiz on Corrie, and her partner Chris Farr. What a wonderful surprise we had when we went into Annie's to find Jennie there waiting to meet us! I was rather star-struck, it's fair to say, but Jennie was lovely and was only too happy to have photographs taken with our team.
What a wonderful day we had on the tour and at Annie's, it really was fantastic.
